Devops engineer (Permanent Opportunity)

Devops Engineer Opportunity Location-Nuneaton (Hybrid working/ Fully remote Working candidates will be considered) Salary: 60k/ yearObjectives of this Role - Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure - Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers - Working on ways to automate and improve development, release and delivery processes - Testing and examining code written by others and analysing results - Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats - Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and 'fixes' - Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended - Planning out projects and being involved in project management decisions Daily and Monthly Responsibilities - Health checks of all deployed stacks, availability of multiple services, health checks of the infrastructure running those services - Deploy updates and fixes - Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support - Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience - Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems - Perform root cause analysis for production errors - Investigate and resolve technical issues - Develop scripts to automate visualization - Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance - Technical Documentation of processes, stacks, services, infrastructure, etc. Skills and Qualifications - Strong experience/ knowledge with DevOps lifecycle, processes and best practices - Strong experience/ knowledge in designing, implementing and maintaining CI/ CD Pipelines - Strong experience/ knowledge of version control and release processes - Strong experience/ knowledge with Linux and microservices architectures - Good experience/ knowledge of cyber security in exposed infrastructures - Good experience/ knowledge of Cloud and Native Orchestration Frameworks - Experience with Static Analysers - Experience in Agile Frameworks and Projects Desirable Skills - Ansible - Static Analysers - Database management, maintenance and SQL queries - GCP/ AWS - Virtualization, OpenSSL, Reverse Proxies, Web Servers, VPNs, Firewalls, IDPS, Networking, etc. - Typescript If interested please apply with an updated copy of your CV.
