The Role\n

As Chef, you will play a key role in preparing nutritious, high-quality meals while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality meals for residents.
  • \n
  • Supporting the Chef Manager with the day-to-day management of the catering team.
  • \n
  • Promoting and maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards.
  • \n
  • Carrying out risk assessments and ensuring the kitchen is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
  • \n
  • Taking responsibility for the kitchen and catering team in the Chef Manager's absence.
  • \n
  • Assisting with menu planning and ensuring meals meet residents' dietary requirements and preferences.
  • \n
  • Helping to provide an outstanding dining experience for residents every day.
  • \n
About You\n

We're looking for an experienced, proactive and enthusiastic Chef who is passionate about producing quality food and enjoys working as part of a supportive team.

To be successful, you will have:

\n
    \n
  • Previous experience as a Chef within a catering, hospitality or care environment.
  • \n
  • A valid Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • \n
  • City & Guilds 706/1 or NVQ Level 2 in Catering/Hospitality (or equivalent).
  • \n
  • Ideally, at least 3 years' experience in a similar Chef role.
  • \n
  • A genuine passion for preparing fresh, nutritious, high-quality food.
  • \n
  • A positive, can-do attitude with excellent organisational skills.
  • \n
  • The ability to work independently, use your initiative and take responsibility when required.
  • \n
  • A friendly and approachable manner, as you'll regularly interact with residents, visitors and colleagues.
