Capability Project Manager

PurposePrincipal project owner. Accountable for the activities of the project both internally within the business as well as being the primary customer focal for this project externally. Low level profit and loss account responsibility to project activities. Project comprises one mid sized or a suite of small scale projects. Potential direct responsibility for junior project personnel.Core RoleThe Capability Project Manager role sits within the Operations and Supply Chain - Capability Council. The role will be responsible for coordinating a multi-disciplinary team for the successful execution of strategic transformational projects. The centralized team will deliver transformational projects that span multiple value streams and/or executed into Collins Global operations Sites (Bandung, Bedok, Bengaluru or Wroclaw).Organisation Level Role DescriptionSenior personal contributor/junior level manager- Potential for direct management responsibility of junior project staff, Indirect responsibility for output of cross functional IPT- Excellent knowledge of PM processes and tools with significant experience of application- Experience technically and through practical application of project management through multiple phases of the lifecycle- Key relationship interface with the customer at working level managing relationship to secure customer satisfaction and support business strategy- Requires good communication and influencing skills to conduct role effectively- Greater than 2 years experience in PM within engineering/manufacturing industryKey Tasks and Responsibilities- Generally individual contributor with potential for one or more support staff- Usually indirectly responsible for one IPT covering a product of a suit of closely related products- Responsible for all project outcomes associated with work scope covering but not limited to cost, schedule and & quality- Customer key point of contact at working level for all items associated with project scope, conducts MFA and appropriate customer first activities to ensure customer satisfaction and acts on these accordingly- Responsible for all programme reporting- Responsible for P&L outcomes associated with project- Responsible administration of all drumbeat project activities including but not limited to: Cadence Reviews, CMB, Risk Review, Project Control etc- Responsible for programme governance including ensuring that all CMS/UPI gate reviews are completed in a timely mannerQualifications, Development and experienceRequires degree or equivalent in related subjectRequires significant broad based experience of project based policies/processes/tools/standards across more then one phase of lifecycle Requires PM signatories for stand alone programme - Contract Review, ECR Approval, OER/QSIR approvals etcKey soft skills include influencing and ability to lead a cross functional teamSkills required to manage customer relationship at a working level managing perceptions and meeting commitmentsCorporate Development Programmes (Gold, Lime, Fuel)Professional accreditation (APM or equivalent): PMQ This employer is a corporate member of myGwork - LGBTQ+ professionals, the business community for LGBTQ+ professionals, students, inclusive employers & anyone who believes in workplace equality.
