Administrator (Part-Time)

Job Description

ASA Recruitment’s client, a Public Sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit an Administrator (Part-Time) on a hybrid basis, on an initial 3-month contract (with potential extensions) on a rate of c.£17.32/hour PAYE. The working hours are 28 hours per week.\n\nThe Role:\n\nThis is a practical administrative and coordination role focused on delivering a defined set of tasks at an important point of organisational change. It offers experience in records management, digital administration, project support, communications support and organisational closure, while making a clear contribution to leaving the organisation in good order.\n\nEssential Experience:\n\n * Proven experience providing administrative or coordination support in a busy office or project environment\n\n * Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage tasks, deadlines and information accurately\n\n * Ability to work systematically and carefully with records, documents and digital information, applying policies and standards\n\n * Experience of records management, document handling and information governance (including retention, transfer and disposal)\n\n * Good communication skills, including supporting internal and external communications across multiple channels\n\n * Competence in Microsoft Office and SharePoint, including document management and digital administration\n\n * High level of attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work to agreed standards\n\n * Ability to work flexibly to direction, manage changing priorities and escalate issues appropriately\n\n * Professional approach to working with colleagues and stakeholders, with discretion and sensitivity during organisational change\n\nDesirable Experience:\n\n * Experience of supporting governance processes, including meetings, papers and decision tracking\n\n * Experience of communications support, including intranet, websites, blogs, newsletters and social media publishing\n\n * Familiarity with digital content platforms and tools (e.g.

WordPress, LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Substack)\n\n * Experience of setting up or managing SharePoint sites or structured digital filing systems\n\n * Ability to support event administration, logistics and stakeholder coordination\n\n * Awareness of editorial governance, publishing processes and maintaining consistent communications
